One killed, four injured in road accidents

Srinagar, Dec 13: Police today said a person was killed while four others were injured in different road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said an oil tanker bearing registration number JK02X/6087 driven by Isher Singh turned turtle at Gutkiwala Mode in Kralpora area of Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to driver of the vehicle. “The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Tanghdar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites,” he said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
The spokesman said a load carrier bearing registration number JK09/2764 skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Zalra village of police station Karnah, resulting in injuries to three persons including the driver. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Tanghdar for treatment, he said, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
The police spokesman said a load carrier bearing registration number JK05E/5192 hit and injure a pedestrian namely Ghulam Mohammad Khuroo at Putkhah area of Baramulla district. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
