One killed, four injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Aug 13: One person was killed while four others injured today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, an accident victim namely Aditya (20) son of Yashpal, resident of Patoli (Domana), succumbed to his injuries today here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu. He said that the deceased was injured yesterday when a bike on which he was travelling was hit by a speeding truck at Domana.
“After conducting post mortem, the body of the deceased was today handed over to his legal heirs for last rites, “the spokesman said, adding, the concerned police had already registered a case in this connection and investigations was underway.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured today when two bikes collided with each other at Deoli in Bishnah area of city outskirts. The injured persons identified as Bachno Devi (60), Parkasho Devi (56) and Labha (56), all residents of Bishnah, were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment. Bishnah police had taken cognizance of the matter.
A man was also injured at Nagrota near Toll Plaza when the Indica car in which he was going rolled down the road due to alleged rash driving. The injured man identified as Rajeev (40), resident of Gandhi Nagar (Jammu) was hospitalized. Nagrota police had taken cognizance of the matter.
