Srinagar, Jan 17: A person was killed and five others were injured after a cab hit a tree in Awantipora Town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official said a Scorpio bearing registration number JK01D 1896 met with an accident near Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch at Awantipora as it hit a popular tree, resulting in on-spot death of Firdous Ahmad Dar and injuries to five others.
The official said that the injured who have been identified as Nazir Ahmad Dar, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Muskana, Fahmeeda and Haneefa were shifted to hospital for treatment.
