JAMMU, July 5: One person was killed while five others injured, when the tipper they were traveling in, rolled down into a nallah at Khanpur, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota Police Station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK14B-0406 carrying labourers, was on its way to Jammu from Udhampur, when the driver lost control over the vehicle, resulting into the accident.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared Ravi Mangi, son of Gora Mangi of Anjna, district Domoi as brought dead, while the condition of the injured was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
A case under FIR number 211/13 under Section 279 and 337 RPC has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and manhunt has been launched to arrest the tipper driver.
However, the tipper driver was at large, when reports submitted.
