KATHUA, Mar 21: One person died after he was hit by a motor cycle at Mandi More in Billawar tehsil of Kathua district today.
He has been identified as Mohammed Hussian, 60, son of Ali Mohamed of Mandli, Billawar. The ill fated man was crossing the road when a motor cycle which was in high speed hit him. He was shifted to SDH Billawar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Motor cyclist fled after the accident. The Billawar police has registered a case under Section 279/337/304 of IPC and started investigation. The body of deceased was handed over to family after postmortem at SDH Billawar for last rites.
Meanwhile, in another case a motor cyclist was injured after the bike he was driving was hit by a truck at Sarore Addda today. He was shifted to GMC Hospital, Jammu for treatment. He has been identified as Atma Singh, son of Dharam Singh of Gadi Garh, Jammu. The Bari Brahmana Police has registered a case in this regard.
