One killed, 8 injured in different accidents

SRINAGAR, Oct 10: One person died and eight others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley.
Reports said that a Tractor JK03C/6733 hit a cycle at Denwathora, Kokernag-Anantnag, resulting in on spot death of the cyclist Sharief Ahmed Wani, son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Sangam, Kokernag while his pillion Fayaz Ahmad Wani received injuries. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag.
A Maruti car on way from Kulgam to Anantnag hit a motorcycle JK18/0983 at Srundoo, Kulgam, resulting in injuries to two persons riding on the motorcycle identified as Ajaz Ahmad Dar, aged 29 years, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din and Jehangir Ahmad Beigh, aged 27 years, son of Mohammad Amin resident of Nowpora, Kanipora-Kulgam. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
An i20 car JK02AP/7752 on way from Srinagar to Jammu collided with a Truck  JK03C/7767 at Jawahir Tunnel near Titanic Point, Qazigund, resulting in injuries to three persons Vimarsh Koul, aged 32 years, son of Manmohan, Monika Koul aged 28 years, wife of Vimrash Koul residents of Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and Jawahir Pandit, aged 32 years, son of Manohar resident of Mumbai. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Santro car JK01R/1072 driven by Aijaz Ahmad, son of Lal Mohammad resident of Takia, Nagam skidded off the road at Malik Mode, Charar-e-Sharief, Budgam, resulting in injuries to Fayaz Ahmad Shah, son of Lal Mohammad resident of Takia, Nagam brother of the driver who was traveling in the vehicle. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Scorpio JK05C/6625 driven by Showket Ahmad Lone, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din resident of Zehanpora collided with a truck  JK02L/458 near Gantamulla-Baramulla, resulting in injuries to the Scorpio driver. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has taken cognizance.
