One killed, 6 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Apr 18: One person died and six others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
Police spokesperson said, a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK04A/1047 collided with a Tata Mobile without registration number at Soiteng, Nowgam, Srinagar, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Tariq Ahmad Qureshi, son of Saif-u-Din, resident of Soiteng, Lasjan. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. The body of deceased was handed over to his next of kins for last rites. Nowgam Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, a Tavera bearing registration number Jk05C/3422 hit and injured Javid Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Geelani Mir, resident of Nowshera at Boniyar Market. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, an Army vehicle bearing registration number CL-109K009202+276 collided with the Police Rakshak bearing registration number chasis number 75379 at National Highway near JMIC Pattan, resulting in minor injuries to constable Hilal Ahmad 247/B and SPO Nisar Ahmad No 368 of Police Station Pattan. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a 407 Police vehicle bearing registration number JK02A/7931 on way from Pulwama to Baramulla for duty hit and injured a civilian Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid resident of Kreeri Baramulla at Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Baramulla and later on referred to SKIMS Soura Srinagar for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Bus bearing registration number JK01P/0237 hit and injured a pedestrian Sajad Ahmad Kirmani son of Mushtaq Ahmad resident of Qamarwari, Srinagar at Pattan. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Maruti 800 bearing registration number JK05C/3484 turned turtle on National Highway near Trumgund crossing, Tarzoo, resulting in injuries to the driver of the car. The injured was shifted to Bone and Joint hospital Srinagar for treatment. Tarzoo Police has registered a case in this regard.
