One killed, 5 injured in accidents

JAMMU, Dec 10: One person was killed while five others were injured in accidents.
As per police sources, a man identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Mir Chand of Poonch House Talab Tillo was killed when his scooty was hit by unidentified tanker at Panama Chowk near Railway bridge.
The body of the deceased was shifted to GMCH Jammu for autopsy.
Meanwhile, two persons identified as Dr Shallu Jamwal, wife of Rajinder Jamwal of Gandhi Nagar and Yogesh Chopra, son of Narinder Chopra of Main Chowk Chinore were injured when their car was hit by a truck at Narwal. The truck has also damaged some vehicles.
In another incident, two persons identified as Sita Ram, son of Taju Ram of Seya Sunderbani and Asha Devi, wife of Shalli Ram of Devak Sunderbani were injured in mini-bus accident at Ria Siot area, falling under the jurisdiction of Chowki Choura Police Post.
In another accident, a man identified as Som Nath, son of Sita Ram, a resident of Kanha was injured when his motorcycle was hit by a car near Pouni area of District Hospital.
All the injured persons are admitted in GMCH Jammu for treatment.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Bahu Fort, Akhnoor and Pouni Police Stations and investigation started.
