One killed, 4 injured in separate road mishaps

KATHUA, June 1: One person died while four others were injured in separate road accidents in Kathua and Samba districts today.
As per reports one person died after the car bearing registration number PB02 B0141 which he was driving collided with a bus bearing registration number UP22 P 6008 at Lakhanpur early this morning.
The driver was identified as Kulbir Singh son of Avtar Singh of Trikuta Nagar. The car was on its way from Jammu to Pathankot while the bus was on its way from Delhi to Jammu.
The driver of the bus fled after accident. The bus was later seized by police while the dead body of Kulbir Singh was handed over to his family members after postmortem at DH Kathua for cremation.
The Lakhanpur Police has registered a case under Section 304 and started investigation.
In another accident three motorcycle borne youth were injured when their bike was hit by a unknown vehicle near Maheshwar Samba. The injured were rushed to District Hospital Samba where from they were referred to GMC Jammu for treatment. They were identified as Shahzad Ahmed, Shabir Ahmed both sons of Abdul Rehman and Bashira wife of Shabir Ahmed. All were residents of Ramban.
In another accident a girl was critically injured when she was hit by an unknown vehicle on NH near Biran Chowk, Vijaypur. She was taken to Emergency Hospital Vijaypur where from doctors referred her to GMC, Jammu. The injured girl was identified as Kajal Devi daughter of Deep Raj of Dhagore Samba. The concerned police stations have registered cases in both the accidents.
