KATHUA, June 28: One person was killed, and four others seriously injured in a car accident that took place at Rajbagh on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway today.
The ill fated car bearing Registration Number JK08D 3393 which was on way towards Chadwal rammed into a stationary truck with the result the car was totally damaged. The five persons travelling in the car were seriously injured. They were shifted to GMC Kathua. Out of which one was declared as brought dead and four seriously injured were given first aid .
The injured were shifted to Pathankot in Punjab for better treatment. The injured were identified as Kiran Gupta, wife of Yesh Pal , Bodh Raj son of Janak Raj , Dimple Gupta son of Jasbir Kumar and Subash Chander, son of Janak Raj all residents of Chadwal, Hiranagar. The killed women was identified as Chanchal Gupta, wife of Subash Chander residents of Chadwal. The cause of accident was not known yet. The car hit the stationary Truck No JK02KQ 3145 which was parked on the road side. Police has registered a case and start investigation.
