One killed, 4 injured as bus hits pedestrians

UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: One person died and four others were injured when a rashly driven bus hit them at Udhampur Bus Stand, this afternoon.
Reports said that the bus bearing registration number JK14B-9591, went out of control of the driver and hit five persons at Bus stand. Police and locals shifted the injured persons to Udhampur District Hospital where doctors declared one of the them as brought dead and referred another critically injured to GMC Hospital Jammu.
The deceased was identified as Varinder Singh (35), son of Dhurab Singh of Doda (a/p near CEO office Udhampur) while the injured, referred to GMC Hospital Jammu was identified as Surjeet Singh(50) son of Govind Singh of Rehmati, Shiv Nagar Udhampur.
Other injured, undergoing treatment at DH Udhampur, were identified as Milkhi Ram (62) son of Maku of Malhar, Gulsher (55) son of Sikender Lone of Batote and Gouri Ram (50) son of Beli Ram of Kallar Nagrota.
Udhampur Police registered the case in this connection and arrested driver of the bus.
