JAMMU, Mar 10: One person was killed while 8 others including four cops sustained injuries in accident near Digiana Camp.
As per police sources, a trailer bearing registration number HP68B-3789 hit several vehicles including a flying squad vehicle, resulting into on the spot death of one person and injuries to 8 others including four cops.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to GMCH Jammu, where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
The deceased was identified as Ram Pal, son of Dhamu Ram, a resident of KC Colony Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu, while the injured were identified as ASI Krishan Lal, SgCt, Ct Naresh Kumar, SPO Baljeet Kumar, Bhanu Partap, son of Ram Lal of KC Colony Tehsil Bishnah, Surinder Singh alias Bunty, son of Manohar Singh of Digiana Camp, Anil Kumar, son of Madan Lal of Ward Number 5 Bishnah and Deepak Kumar, son of Gara Chand of Bishnah.
After conducing post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
