KATHUA, Aug 22: A car accident at Kanthal Dhaar in Bani area yesterday claimed the life of a person and left three others seriously injured.

The injured were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua.
The ill fated car was on his way from Bani to Kanthal Dhaar when it skidded off from the road and fell into a deep gorge resulting in injuries to the four persons travelling in it.
The locals started rescue operation and shifted the injured to CHC Bani.
A woman injured in the accident was declared brought dead by the doctors at CHC Bani and she was identified as Surishta Devi, 36, wife of Hoshiar Singh, resident of Chandal Morha Halndhar, Bani.
Other injured persons were Radha Krishan, 51, son of Birbal, resident of Kanthal Dhaar; Nisha Devi, 20, daughter of Kamal Singh and Kajal Devi, 18, daughter of Hoshiar Singh resident of Chandal Mora Halndar.
The injured were shifted to GMC Kathua where they were undergoing treatment till last reports.
The police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
