JAMMU : One person was killed and three Army personnel were among 21 injured in accident on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. “A man was killed while 21, including 3 Army personnel, were injured when an Army Gypsy collided head-on with Punjab Roadways bus this morning near Dayalachak in Kathua district,” a police spokesman here said.
He said the bus, heading from Jammu to Kathua, was on the wrong side when it collided with the Army SUV. “One side of the road was closed due to the protest staged by the villagers against erratic supply of water and electricity in Jatwal village on the highway,” said the police. The deceased was identified as Jaswant Singh while out of 21 injured, 9 were shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu and others admitted to district Hospital Kathua. (AGENCIES)
