KATHUA, Jan 24: One person was killed and 22 others were injured four of them seriously after a matador bearing registration number JK02 BD which was on way from Billawar to Kohti turned turtle on the road this afternoon.
According to reports Parkash Chand, 65, S/o Billow of Kohti died on way to Sub District Hospital Billawar. The matador was in fast speed and the driver lost the control on the steering and the matador turned turtle.
The four passengers suffered serious injuries and they were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu for treatment where their condition is stated to be critical.
The other 18 passengers with normal injuries are undergoing treatment in Sub District Hospital Billawar.
The driver of the matador fled after the accident. The Billawar Police has registered a case under Section 279/304 RPC.
