KATHUA, Apr 10: A 12 year old girl was killed after the scooty on which she was travelling along with her mother was hit by a truck at Samba NH near HDFC Bank today.
Police said a 12 year old girl who was a pillion rider on a scooty run by her mother was injured after the two wheeler bearing number JK21B-1539 was hit by a truck bearing registration number HR37A-4043 at NH Samba near HDFC Bank.
The injured girl was identified as Muskan D/o Suresh Kumar of Diani. She was taken to DH Samba where from doctors referred her to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment but she died on the way.
Meanwhile 22 persons were injured in two roads accident which took place in Kathua district today. All the injured were admitted at District Hospital Kathua for treatment.
Police said a mini bus bearing registration number JK08B 4394 was on the way from Bed Balol to Sher Kotla . When the mini bus reached at Plah More it fell in a deep gorge which resulted in injury to 16 passengers travelling in the vehicle.
All the injured shifted to Kathua Hospital. They have been identified as Shanti Devi, Suman Lata, Radha Kumari, Bachani Devi, Hemant Singh, Dinesh Singh, Jeevan Jyoti, Anju Devi, Bal Krishan, Rita Devi, Rekha Devi, Gurjar, Malya, Jagan Nath, Saif Ali and Prem Singh. The condition of all the injured is stable so far. In another road accident six passengers were injured when two mini buses collided in village Barnoti. The injured were also shifted to Kathua District Hospital. Police has registered cases in both the accidents.
