One killed, 2 injured in fire near Bhawan

KATRA, Jan 30: A youth was charred to death and two others suffered serious burn injuries when fire broke out in a Dhaba near Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, here today in the wee hours.
The fire broke out in tin-shed shop number 6 around 2.15 a.m. trapping three workers of the private Dhaba (food stall), which was also being used as accommodation of the victims. Before the fire could be controlled by Police and the Shrine Board officials, one worker was charred to death while two others sustained serious burn injuries.
The deceased was identified as Rajesh Singh (19), son of Bansi Lal of Devigarh while the injured, namely Ravi Singh (18), son of Naseeb Singh of village Ladda and Sikandar Singh (16), son of Sheetal Singh of village Devigarh were hospitalized.
Police said that the workers were asleep when the fire broke out. A case has been registered in this connection for investigations to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, another incident of fire took place at a labour shed on New Panchi track this evening. Even as there was no loss of life or injuries to the labourers staying there, their clothes and bedding reduced to ashes in the fire, which was soon controlled.
