MENDHAR, Aug 11: One person was killed and two others were injured, when a Maruti Swift car met with an accident at Achhad Pehliyan village of Mendhar in Poonch district on Tuesday.
Reports said Swift car No. JK 12 A/ 9812) which was on way to Salani village from Mendhar, met with an accident on the road this afternoon. Three persons including a woman were injured in the mishap.
On receiving the news of accident, the locals reached to the spot and rescued the injured and shifted them to Sub District Hospital, Mendhar , where doctors declared Ata Mohammad (18), son of Shah Mohammad, resident of Salani as brought dead.
Injured are identified as Shah Mohammad, son of Abdul Hussain (driver), Salima Akhtar, wife of Manzoor Hussain, both residents of Salani village. They are undergoing treatment at SDH Mendhar. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
