UDHAMPUR, Oct 14: One person died and 14 others got injured in four separate road accidents across Udhampur, here today.
A car bearing registration number HP24C-0778 rolled down into deep gorge near Dawar Bridge, Samroli, resulting into death of a woman and critical injuries to her two children among four persons.
The deceased was identified as Rubina (39) wife of Gulzar Ahmad of Nalla Garh, Mandi Himachal. The injured, who have admitted in District Hospital Udhampur, were identified as Saneya (10) and Rezwan (6), daughter and son of Gulzar Mohamed of Nalla Garh Himachal, Rumisha (19) wife of Mohd Younus of Ran Nagar Mandi Hamchal and driver Yaseer Mohd (35) son of Babu of Bilas Pur Himachal.
In another road accident, a Truck bearing registration number JK02AE-7469 hit a Maruti Car JK02C-8833 on the National Highway near Khari Udhampur. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured were identified as Sunil Singh (13) and his father Naseeb Singh, Puran Chand (50) son of Tara Chand, Kuldeep Singh (32) son of Charn Dass (all are resident of village Gharian Tanas Chenani), Prakash Chand (53) son of Thaker Dass of Jagnoo, Pawan Chand (23) son of Tara Chand of village Lanu Tikri.
Doctors referred Naseeb Singh and Kuldeep Singh to GMC Jammu Hospital in view of their critical injuries.
In a collision between a Xylo, bearing Registration number JK0IN-1819, and Maruti Car JK14B-8045, on the National Highway near Chinar Udhampur, two brothers were injured. They were identified as Ashok Kumar (45) and Raj Kumar (47), sons of Nanak Chand of Majalta, A/P Housing Colony Udhampur.
In another road accident, a rashly driven unknown vehicle hit two pedestrian near Mand. Police took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur and their identification was established as Sushil (26) son of Mukhtyar Chand of Moud and Anshu Kumar (24) son of Kartar Chand of village Moud in Udhampur.
