JAMMU, May 1: One person was killed and 13 other injured in road accident that took place at village Gagrode on Basholi-Bani road. The accident took place when a load carrier bearing registration no JK08G 8963 was on the way from Basholi to Jandrotta while carrying the 14 passenger in the vehicle.
The vehicle was rolled down into deep gorge when the driver lost the control of vehicle on a sharp curve. All the passenger seriously injured and shifted to SDH Basholi. One person was declared brought dead and other 13 injured were admitted in hospital. Out of which 7 injured were referred to GMC Kathua for better treatment.
They are identified as Bittu Ram, Guddi Devi, Rajesh Kumar, Tarsem Lal, Bashu Ram, Ranju Kumar and Vimla Devi.
The killed person was identified as Omkar Chand 60, son of Bua Ditta resident of Gagrode , Basholi . The driver of vehicle fled away from the dire after accident. The Basholi police registered a case and start investigation into the matter.
