JAMMU, Jan 31: One person was killed while 10 others were injured in two separate road mishaps in Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, an unknown middle-aged man was killed on the spot when he was hit by an unknown vehicle late last night here at General Bus Stand. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
Another mishap occurred at Palwal Camp near Government Degree College Akhnoor, where a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02P-1842 rolled down the road. In the mishap, seven persons received minor injuries and three serious. The three seriously injured were shifted to GMCH for treatment while seven minor injured were discharge after giving first aid at Sub-District Hospital, Akhnoor.
The three seriously injured have been identified as Suresh Kumar (20) of Panjgrian (Akhnoor), Arun Khajuria (6) of Pallanwala and Paramjeet Singh (45) of unknown residence.
In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
