JAMMU, Jan 3: One labourer who was seriously injured in the collapse of shuttering/ slab of an under construction bridge on river Devika at Kaulpur in Ramgarh tehsil of Samba district yesterday succumbed to his injuries in Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital, Jammu this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Madan Lal, 50, son of Ravila Ram of R S Pura, Jammu. He had received grievous injuries and was among 18 injured people who were rushed to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment where he succumbed to his injuries this morning.
The dead body of the injured has been handed over to family after legal formalities. The Ramgarh police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law in this regard.
It may be recalled that 27 laborers were injured after the shuttering/ slab of under construction bridge by BRO on Devika at Kaulpur in Ramgarh tehsil of Samba district collapsed yesterday.
Police said two persons were critical among the 27 patients while one breathed his last today and another one is responding to the treatment.
