One injured in assault

JAMMU, July 2: A 17-year-old boy was injured today in an assault case in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the victim boy identified as Paramjeet Singh son of Harbans Lal, resident of Narhi (Miran Sahib), was attacked with some sharp edged weapon by two persons namely Balwant Raj son of Gian Chand, resident of Narhi and his son Ravinder Singh, over some unknown issue when the former was returning home after irrigating his fields.
“In the attack, Paramjeet sustained some injuries and was rushed to Sub District Hospital, RS Pura, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu”, the spokesman said, adding, Miran Sahib police had registered a case in this connection and started investigations.
