Samba, Sept 15: One person was seriously injured after he was fired upon by an unidentified person under mysterious circumstances late last night near his residence at Mandal in Purmandal area of Samba district.
He has been identified as Mohammed Javed, 29, son of Nazir Ahmed. He was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu in a serious condition where he is under going treatment. Purmandal Police has registered a FIR under unknown person in this regard and started investigation.
Police said that they could not record the statement of injured person as his condition was serious and he was undergoing operation in the Hospital. Soon his condition improves police will record his statement and on the basis of which it could lay the hands on assailant.
