JAMMU, Jan 12: Police today seized 158 bottles of intoxicants and arrested a drug peddler.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda Mohammad Sharief Chouhan said that on specific inputs, police party from Bhaderwah police station laid a naka near Radio Station Bhaderwah and intercepted a Maruti van bearing registration number JK06-6351.
During checking, police recovered 158 bottles of intoxicants, he added.
The drug peddler identified as Sadaqat Ali, son of Mohammad Asgar of Kotli, Bhaderwah was arrested, SSP said.
A case under FIR number 9 under Section 8/20/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
