RAMBAN, Feb 11: Police here today seized 20 bottles of illicit liquor and arrested the liquor smuggler.
On the directions of SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar, cops from Police Station Dharamkund led by SHO under the supervision of SDPO Gool during a routine Naka checking duty intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02Y-0705 driven by one Mohd. Salim, son of Rehmat Ali, resident of Chachwa, Tehsil Gool. On checking the vehicle, 20 bottles of illicit liquor each of 750 ml were recovered by cops.
A case in FIR number 08/2024 under Section 48 (a) of Excise Act was registered at Police Station Dharamkund in this regard and investigation started.
