JAMMU, Feb 13: Police claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler and recovered from his possession 6 grams of heroin.
They said that the accused Gagandeep Singh alias Chattru of Digiana Camp, Jammu was arrested by a team of police Station Miran Sahabi led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and assisted by SHO Miran Sahib, Inspector Zahir Mushtaq.
The accused has been booked in case FIR 38/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Miran Sahib, police said.
Police have started further investigation.
