JAMMU, July 18: Bahu Fort Police arrested a drug peddler along with 14 grams of heroin.
“A team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali while on naka duty rounded up a suspect who was on his way towards Bahu Plaza and on search, recovered 14 grams of heroin from his possession,” a police spokesman said.
He said the suspect identified as Faryad Ali son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Palperd Raghooda, was arrested on the spot and a case under FIR Number 191/2022 u/s 8/21/22/NDPS Act was registered against him in Police Station Bahu Fort. Further investigation into the case was going on, he added.
The whole operation was done under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari.
