JAMMU, June 27: Gangyal police has arrested a drug peddler with 5 grams of heroin.
“Based on the specific inputs regarding drug peddling, several nakas were laid at different locations by Jammu Police. On one such naka at Sehora Road Bandhu near AK Automobile workshop, police teams rounded up a suspect namely Ranjeet Choudhary son of Jasbir Singh of Model Town, Gangyal and on search, recovered 5 grams of heroin from his possession,” police sources said.
They said a case FIR Number 103/21 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at police station Gangyal and the accused was arrested. The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO South P K Mengi.
It is pertinent to mention that accused is a notorious criminal and has been involved in 4 different cases registered under various police stations viz. police station Gandhi Nagar and police station Gangyal.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
