JAMMU, Feb 22: Jourian police today arrested a man along with 250 gram of charas.
Police sources said that a motorcycle bearing registration Number JK02AW-1472 was stopped for checking at a naka in Potha area of Jourian by the Jourian police.
They said on personal checking of the bike rider namely Ranjit Sharma son of Ram Lal of Badral (Akhnoor), charas like substance (13 challis weighing 250 g) were recovered from his possession.
The accused was arrested and the charas was seized by the police team, sources said, adding, a case FIR Number 45/2021 under Sections 8/20 of NDPS has been registered in this connection in police station Akhnoor and further investigation started under the supervision of SHO police station Akhnoor, Inspector Ravi Parihar.
The arrest and recovery was made by a police party of police post Jourian headed by ASI Dildar Singh under Incharge PP Jourian Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal, under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial, SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and overall guidance of SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
