UDHAMPUR, Feb 8: The police in Tikri area foiled a narcotics smuggling bid and recovered 200 gms of Charas from a peddler.
Official sources said that Police patrolling party of Police post Tikri led by PSI Abdul Satar noticed the movement of one suspicious person in Mand area who was asked to stop for checking by the police party.
On his frisking, the police team made a recovery of nearly 200 grams of Charas from the accused person namely- Mohd Rafiq, son of Mohd Farooq, a resident of Garnai.
The accused has been arrested and a case FIR No. 38/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered in PS Rehambal against him.
