DODA, June 29: Assar police today arrested a person with 40 kilograms of forest produce ‘nagchatri’.
As per sources, police party from police station Assar deployed for routine naka checking at Assar intercepted a bus bearing registration number JK02AV-1877, which was on its way from Kishtwar to Jammu.
During checking, police recovered 40 kilograms of forest produce ‘nagchatri’ and arrested a person, who was carrying it for illegal sale.
The accused has been identified as Partab Singh, son of Pancham Singh of Gundna Bharath, district Doda.
A case under FIR number 16/14 under Section 379 RPC, 6 Forest Act has been registered at police station Assar against the accused and investigation started.
