One held with 4.2 g heroin, weighing machine

JAMMU, Jan 25: Miran Sahib Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 4.2 grams of heroin and one electronic weighing machine from his possession.
“A team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and overall supervision of SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta established a special naka at Langotian Chowk,” a Police spokesman said.
He said during naka checking, one pedestrian identified as Riaz Choudhary son of Gama Choudhary, resident of Langotian (RS Pura), who was on his way from Mamka towards Kotli Mian Fateh stopped for checking on suspicious ground and on checking, 4.20 grams of heroin like substance (chitta) and one electronic weighing machine was recovered from his possession.
“In this regard, a case under FIR Number 22/2023 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Miran Sahib,” he said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
