JAMMU, Jan 19: A drug peddler along with 160 gram of charas was apprehended today by the police in Narwal area of city outskirts.
“A team of Police Post Narwal recovered 160 grams of charas near Rajiv Nagar Chowk area from a suspect who was on its way from Mohalla Rajiv Nagar towards Jammu,” a Police spokesman said.
He said the suspect identified as Zahid Ahmed Khan son of Zakir Hussain Khan, resident of Gopal Pura, Kokernag, Anantnag (At present living in Bathindi area of Jammu), was arrested and a case under FIR Number 30/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in this connection in Police Station Bahu Fort.
Further investigation of the case was going on, he added.
