JAMMU, June 5: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested a man with 10 gram of charas from Nai Basti and two men with 140 bottles of Corex from Shastri Nagar Chowk.
A police spokesman said, “During naka checking at Nai Basti a police team led by PSI Javed Choudhary stopped a vehicle from which a man identified as Mohd Saleem son of Noor Mohd, resident of Shallie, tehsil Gundoh, district Doda, of the vehicle came out and tried to flee but the alert cops at naka chased the man and got hold of him”.
He said that on his personal search 10 grams of Heroin was recovered from his possession, which was seized by the police. “A case FIR No 130/2016 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and further investigations started”, he added.
Meanwhile, in another naka laid by ASI Om Parkash of police station Gandhi Nagar at Shastri Nagar Chowk near Cremation Ground, two persons identified as Mohd Shakeel son of Abdul Jabar, resident of Manjakot (Rajouri) and Parshotam Singh son of suraj Singh, resident of Balihot (Ramban) were arrested with 140 bottles of Corex.
Accordingly, a case FIR No 131/2016 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and further investigations were underway.
