DODA, July 15: Police today seized 30 kilograms of banned forest produce ‘nagchatri’ and arrested a person.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Police Station Assar intercepted a person on suspicious ground.
During checking, police seized 30 kilograms of banned forest produce and arrested the person, who has been identified as Irshad Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud Din of Bani Gundna, district Doda.
A case under FIR No 18/14 under Section 379 RPC and 6 Forest Act has been registered at Police Station Assar against the accused and investigation started.
