JAMMU, Oct 16: A fresh case of Dengue was reported today taking the total number of patients suffering from the vector-borne disease in Jammu region to 88.
“A male adult belongs to Samba district was today tested positive for Dengue virus “, Director Health Services (Jammu), Dr BS Pathania said.
He said that the victim probably got affected with the disease in New Delhi, where he had recently gone regarding some work. “However, it is not a serious case and the patient is under treatment”, he added.
Dr Pathania advised the people not to store water in open utensils and allow stagnation of water in their surroundings, as stagnant water is a breeding ground for Dengue mosquitoes. He also advised the people to prevent themselves from mosquito bites.
