JAMMU, Aug 19: One worker was killed while five others were injured in a mysterious fire which broke out after a sudden bang in an iron manufacturing unit at Bari Brahmana near here, today.
The deceased has been identified as Ranjeet Singh, 45, of Bihar and the five injured included Gurmeet Singh, 45, son of Sadhu Singh of Gurdaspur Punjab, Salam -ud-Din, S/o Sheikh-ud-Din of Bengal, Inder Kumar, S/o Brahm Dev Paswan of Bihar, Prem Kumar and Govind Kumar. Four workers were rushed to GMC in a serious condition. Out of them Ranjeet succumbed to his injuries while the three Salam-ud-Din, Gurmeet Singh and Inder Kumar are battling for their lives. The other two injured have been admitted in a local hospital at Bari Brahmana.
The Bari Brahmana Police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law and started investigation.
