JAMMU, Aug 19: Police seized 120 litres diesel, which the GREF officials were selling illegally to a bus owner in Chak Malal area, falling under the jurisdiction of Khour police station.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Khour police station conducted a raid in Chak Malal area late last night and seized 120 litres of diesel, which the GREF officials were selling illegally to a bus owner identified as Mangal Singh, son of Bihari Singh of Khour.
The GREF employees brought the diesel in a load carrier bearing registration number JK02AW-2007 to sale it among the bus owner.
Police team seized the load carrier and bus on the spot, whileas the GREF employees and the bus owner escaped from the spot, taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 61/15 under Section 409 and 109 RPC and 3/7 Essential Commodity Act has been registered against GREF officials and the bus driver at Khour police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Khour police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta busted this illegal trade between GREF officials and the bus owner under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
