KATHUA, July 5: In its action against illegal mining within the district, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal today seized one Dumper which was being used for illegal transportation of construction material in the jurisdictional area of Police Station (PS)Lakhanpur near Basantpur today.
Police said a team of Police Post (PP) Basantpur headed by SI Sanjeev Singh incharge, PP Basantpur while on patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area found one dumper indulged in illegal mining which was being used for illegal transportation of construction material. Meanwhile the vehicle indulged in illegal mining was seized and was immediately handed over to the officials of Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
