One dies of COVID in J&K, 224 test +ve

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, July 11: One person died of COVID-19 in Kashmir and 150 tested positive for the virus. No Corona casualties were today reported in Jammu division and the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Seventy four persons tested positive for the virus in Jammu region today including 23 in Doda district, 12 each in Kathua and Poonch districts, seven Jammu, six Kishtwar, five each in Udhampur and Reasi and two each in Rajouri and Ramban districts. Samba district didn’t report any new case today.
As against 74 fresh cases, 122 persons recovered from the virus in Jammu. The region now has 1,20,806 Corona cases including 1412 active positives, 1,17,268 recoveries and 2126 casualties.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today reported 19 positive cases, all in Leh district taking Corona count in the UT to 20186 including 115 active positives, 19865 recoveries and 206 deaths—148 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 150 fresh cases of COVID-19 and one person succumbed to the viral infection.
Srinagar reported 53 cases, Baramulla 14, Budgam 10, Pulwama 23, Kupwara 8, Anantnag 12, Bandipora 13, Ganderbal 12, Kulgam 3 and Shopian 2.
Srinagar has 70663 positive cases with 597 active, 69234 recovered, 832 deaths; Baramulla has 23400 positive cases with 167 active, 22953 recovered, 280 deaths; Budgam reported 22734 positive cases with 151 active cases, 22379 recovered, 204 deaths; Pulwama has 15033 positive cases with 91 active, 14749 recovered and 193 deaths; Kupwara has 13947 positive cases, 140 active, 13642 recoveries, 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16235 positive cases with 101 active, 15929 recovered, 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9387 positive cases, with 82 active, 9205 recoveries, 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9744 positive cases with 157 active, 9510 recoveries and 77 deaths; Kulgam has 11175 positive cases with 96 active, 10962 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5569 positive cases with 08 active cases, 5503recoveries and 58 deaths.
And the district administration Anantnag today said that visitors to public parks and tourist spots will be permitted only on production of vaccination certificates and Covid-negative reports to prevent resurgence of Coronavirus.
As per an order issued by Additional District Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, DDMA Anantnag, joint enforcement teams of civil and police administration have been constituted to ensure observance of COVID-19 SOPs at tourist destinations and public parks. The enforcement teams shall also comprise of officials of Floriculture Department, Development Authorities and Municipalities.
The prescribed preventive protocols have been issued to prevent possible spread/transmission of COVID infections.
The CMO has been asked to deploy teams at public parks/tourist sites for on-spot testing and vaccination of visitors.
The order further asked the joint teams to file daily action taken report regarding the imposition of fines, etc. in case of violations of Covid SOPs.
The constituted teams shall ensure Covid-19 protocols are followed in Wazir Bagh Park, Achabal Garden, Verinag Garden, Pahalgam, Aru, Betab Valley, Dara Shikoh Garden, Kokernag Botanical Garden and other tourist spots/parks.
