POONCH, Nov 25: A villager was killed while another seriously injured when a tractor-trolley was rolled down into a gorge near Dogran on Mughal Road this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that this without number tractor trolley had been temporarily engaged on some construction work in the area to carry sand and gravel. Besides driver, two labourers were on aboard the tractor trolley.
The over speeding trolley went out of control and rolled down into a gorge. While driver jumped away in swift action, the two others received critical injuries. One of them was succumbed to injuries while being shifted to Surankote hospital, another critically injured has been referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu.
The deceased was identified as Kabir Hussain, son of Nazir Hussain, resident of Dogran village in Behramgalla area of Surankote. The injured villager has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Mohd Akbar, resident of Dogran. The police was looking for absconding driver. It has registered a case in this connection.
