UDHAMPUR, July 19: One person was killed in bike accident at Katra, seven persons were injured when a Maruti van roll down at Pangara Udhampur about 7 am today morning, a woman injured after falling from train in district Udhampur.
Reports from Katra said that bike rider Ranveer Singh-38, working in Shrine Board received serious injuries after his bike was hit by an unknown vehicle on the outskirts of Katra town this morning. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead. The police has registered a case for investigation.
Meanwhile, a Maruti Van bearing registration number JK14F-8453 was on its way from Mongari to Udhampur. Near Pangara village, driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into a deep gorge. Police and locals rushed to the spot and removed the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured persons were identified as Shamshar Chand (31), son of Kheam Raj, Kapoor Chand (45) son of Krishan Chand, Mibbi Chand (31) son of Krishan Chand, Sansaro Devi (58), wife of Krishan Chand, Taro Devi (34), wife of Rattan Chand, Pritam Chand (37), son of Krishan Chand, Karan Singh (27), son of Isher Dass -all residents of Kalsot in Panchari. Police has registered a case in this connection.
