One day casual leave protest by Accounts Employees

JAMMU, Aug 13: On the call of J&K Accounts Employees Association here today a one day casual leave protest was staged by the Accounts Employees in support of their demands.
A handout of the Association stated these demands include fixation of seniority at the level of Junior Scale Accounts Officer, creation of posts in various departments, extension of recommendations of sixth pay commission in respect of J&K Accounts Subordinate Service—Class-I Assistant Accounts Officer and regularisation of the services of In-charge AAOs, In-charge AOs and In-charge CAOs.
Other demands were grant of selection scale to the accounts officer, declaration of accounts service as technical, settlement of pending cases under SRO 43, implementation of transfer policy, induction of subordinate accounts service personnel in other services that is in GAD etc.
Still more demands were promotion avenues for assistant programmer, data entry operators, conducting of refresher courses in Accountancy Training School at regular intervals and updation of accounts manual and books on annual basis, formulation of recruitment policy etc
In a meeting of the Association under the chairmanship of its President, Kamal Singh Pathania different speakers appealed to the authorities concerned to concede their demands as soon as it is possible.
