One Corona death each in Jammu, Kargil; 129 new cases in Ladakh

JAMMU, Nov 10: A woman died of Coronavirus died in Bhagwati Nagar area of Jammu district and 206 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while 200 persons recovered from the virus in the region.
The Union Territory of Ladakh also reported one Corona fatality taking death count to 85 and 129 fresh cases.
A 60-year-old woman from Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu district died of Coronavirus in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu two days after her hospitalization.
Eight members of a family from Bantalab including a child and three from Muthi tested positive for pathogen in Jammu district. A total of 93 infections were reported from the district including 82 locals and 11 travelers.
COVID positive cases from other districts include 28 in Kishtwar, 24 Udhampur, 14 Kathua, 12 Doda, 11 Samba, eight Ramban, six Reasi and five each in Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Jammu region’s Corona toll has reached 520 including 271 in Jammu district, 48 each Rajouri and Doda, 33 Kathua, 32 Udhampur, 25 Samba, 22 Poonch, 18 Ramban, 15 Kishtwar and eight in Reasi district.
Among 200 persons who recovered from the virus today, 95 hailed from Jammu district, 32 Samba, 16 Doda, 13 Poonch, 12 Ramban, 11 Kathua, 10 Udhampur, eight Rajouri and three in Kishtwar district. No recoveries were reported from Reasi district today.
Jammu region now has 39668 Corona cases.
Among them, 1527 are active positive while 37621 have recovered from the virus and there have been 520 Corona casualties.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory of Ladakh today reported one Corona fatality and 129 new cases.
A 63-year-old man from Zanskar died in Kargil district of Ladakh taking Corona casualties to 85 including 46 in Leh and 39 in Kargil.
Of 129 new cases, 120 were reported from Leh and nine in Kargil.
With this, Corona tally in Ladakh has gone up to 7063. Among them, 920 are active positives and 6058 have recovered from the virus.
