JAMMU, Aug 24: One person today committed suicide here in Bakshi nagar area while three persons were injured in two separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, an auto driver namely Gulshan Kumar (45) son of Bhagwan Dass, resident of Sunderbani (at present in a rented room at Resham Ghar, Bakshi Nagar) today allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
Meanwhile, two persons identified as Vicky Bhat son of Maharaja Krishan Bhat, resident of Lane No 9, Jagti (Nagrota) and Rahul (35) son of Harbans Lal, resident of Bhour Camp, were injured when a bike on which they were travelling, got slipped at Nagrota.
Another accident occurred at Bohri, where a pedestrian namely Brita Ram (62) son of Munshi Ram, resident of Akalpur, was hit by a speeding mini-bus.
All the three injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
