KATHUA, June 25: The sleuths of Sales Tax today seized 8000 capsules of a banned drug which were being smuggled to Kashmir Valley from Delhi at Lakhanpur Check Post.
According to police the sleuths of Sales Tax Lakhanpur during the routine checking of a Video coach today found 8000 capsules of banned drug from a brief case which were being smuggled by one Manzoor Ahmed S/o Nazir Ahmed of Hyderpora, Budgam to Srinagar. The capsules were packed in 59 small boxes and after the sleuths opened these boxes they found the banned drug in them.
The sleuths of ST informed the Lakhanpur Police who arrested Manzoor and registered a case under NDPS Act against him.
