One accused gets interim bail, non-bailable warrants against 6

JAMMU, July 11: In the much publicized spurious drugs scam, Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu, Puneet Gupta granted interim bail to Mukesh Aggarwal, Proprietor M/s Suraj Enterprises, who surrendered before the Court yesterday and subsequently sent to police custody.
The Court also issued fresh non-bailable warrants against Prem Prakash Barnwal, Manjula Barnwal, Directors of M/s Sanative Pharmaceuticals, Manoj Kumar Aggarwal, Rahul Kumar Singh, Zubair Ahmed and Neeraj Aggarwal, with the direction that every effort should be made by the concerned agency to execute the warrants by the next date fixed in the case.
Today, the accused allegedly involved in scam namely Ashok Kumar Raina, Amardeep Raina, Akhil Kumar Gidoo, Dr A K Sharma, Dr S C Khajuria, Dr Aniece Choudhary (Retired GMC Principal) and Sunil Gupta were present. The court was apprised that non-bailable warrants against six accused were received back without being executed.
On this, CPO Kulbushan Sharma prayed that fresh non-bailable warrants be issued against absentee accused. While conceding the request the Court directed that non-bailable warrants be issued against the absentee accused and every effort shall be made by the concerned agency to execute the same by the next date fixed in the case.
After hearing Advocates Himanshu Beotra and Himanshu Mahajan for Mukesh Aggarwal and CPO Kulbushan Sharma with Investigating Officer Wahid Giri, the Special Judge Anticorruption granted interim-bail to Mukesh Aggarwal subject to furnishing of bail and personal bond to the tune of Rs 50,000 each and cash security to the tune of Rs 20,000 with the direction that accused shall appear before the Crime Branch from 10 am to 5 pm daily for one week and thereafter if required.
