JAMMU, July 18: On its Foundation Day today Panun Kashmir reiterated its commitment to Margdarshan resolution of 1991 and stated firmly and unequivocally that that return and rehabilitation of Hindus of Kashmir can only be possible by carving out Centrally administered Union Territory of Panun Kashmir on North and East of river Jhelum for all exiled Hindus of Valley.

The recognition of Genocide of Hindus of Kashmir and adopting the Panun Kashmir, Prevention of Genocide and Atrocities Bill is a critical necessity for starting the process of reversal of genocide, said PK convener Dr Agnishekhar an its chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo while talking to reporters here .
They said as the things are getting out of control once again in Afghanistan its fall out in J&K will not be good. Creation of UT of Panun Kashmir for Hindus of Kashmir is not only a basic condition for return of Hindus to their homeland but a critical necessity to defeat Pan Islamic separatism in Kashmir, they added.
They said PK has time and again warned that the election processes in which displaced Hindus had to vote from exile for the constituencies where they have not been living for decades and their homes and hearths have been destroyed will eventually act as instrument of Denial of Genocide. Same is the case of existing Delimitation exercise. Kashmiri Hindus in exile have been rendered into no-place citizens. Both Agnishekhar and Ajay said barring the brief period during which Murmu was the LG of J&K, Hindus of Kashmir continue to be treated with disrespect, disdain and as a liability. The recent examples of how the PM package employees were treated as second class citizens, by denying them normal promotion benefits, benefits of SRO which provides job to the kith of the employee who has met untimely death is an indication in this regard. Application of the provisions of SRO 194 issued on 17-06-2020 limiting the salary of the package employees to mere basic pay speaks volumes about the continued draconian measures to coerce the hapless employees into perpetual servitude. PM Package which was conceived as a humanitarian package to break the ice has turned out to be the worst night mare for the exiled Hindus of Kashmir after their forced exodus in 1990, they added.
The PK leaders warned that the type of political process GoI has been following in J&K along with the exercise of conducting delimitation on the basis of fudged 2011 Census will eventually lead to subversion of the basic national interests in J&K. It has to be realised that imposition of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on the political scene in 1975 nullified all the gains of the defeat of Pakistan in 1971. In a similar way the political process in the State galvanised by the new delimitation process based on 2011 Census will wreck all the positive dimensions of the decisions taken by GoI on 5 August 2019, they added.
PK general secretary, Kuldeep Raina, Daya Krishan vice president, Bihari Lal Koul orginising secretary and P N Raina were present in the press conference.
