JAMMU, July 2: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has said that continuation of Omar Abdullah as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir is a risk for the integrity of the country and for the restoration of peace and maintenance of communal harmony in the State.
“Instead of taking care of the State administration and development activities he indulges in raising the morale of the separatist forces by his actions. His policy of rehabilitation of militants at the cost of security of the State and the country, his repeated public announcements for revocation of Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA), his off and on statements made at the behest of separatists against Army encounters with militants do not behove of a Chief Minister who is at the helm of the most sensitive State”, said JSM president, Virender Gupta, while addressing a press conference here today.
JSM asked the Congress Party to withdraw itself from the Coalition Government and appealed the Governor to immediately dismiss the Government and impose Governor Rule.
Showing its serious concern on the Government’s Rehabilitation Policy for the militants, Gupta said the State Government should adopt the North- East policy under which the surrendered militants are taken to Rehabilitation Camps run by security agencies, NGOs and other bodies like Art of Living and after clearance from these agencies the surrendered militants are rehabilitated by providing soft loans and jobs etc.
JSM president said a strong policy against Pakistan and terrorism is the only way to have peace on the borders and to thwart the evil designs of Pakistan.
He asserted for abrogation of Article 370 from the Indian constitution, adding its abrogation would solve most of the problems presently existing in the State.
